Ginger lily needs fertile soil that’s consistently moist or even wet. The edge of a pond or stream is perfect. It tolerates full sun in moist soil, but light shade is preferable.

Clustered White Butterfly Ginger is perfect for containers and brings a colorful show to the late summer and early fall garden. A species ginger from India, its pure white flowers emerge from the top of the upright canes, and mature plants flower for several weeks. The attractive leaves are deep green with reddish undersides.
